Curriculum Features

Adopting the “Shared Praxis Approach”

By employing Thomas H. Groome’s “Shared Praxis Approach” to present Christian visions and stories, the curriculum encourages students to reflect on their ways of living, faith, beliefs, values and behaviour.

Catering for the Developmental Needs of Teenagers

Based on James W. Fowler’s “Stages of Faith” theory, this curriculum helps students experience God’s acceptance and love towards them and leads them to reconsider their faith, beliefs and behaviour for a better personality development.

Using Spiral Approach in Curriculum Design

Based on the spiral approach, this curriculum focuses on strengthening students’ understanding by revisiting concepts with increasing levels of difficulty, as well as helping students develop higher order thinking through first investigating personal issues and then interpersonal and social issues.

In Line with the Education Reform

With the incorporation of pictures, famous paintings of Bible stories, side-notes and project learning, this curriculum encourages students to develop independent learning, positive values and attitudes, and generic skills.
